During the Christmas Holidays everyone has heard of the baby Jesus, born of Mary, a virgin, born perfect and without sin. That baby is God in the flesh, who came to die for those who believe in Him to pay the sin debt.
To fully understand about living eternally in one of two places we need to examine the Ministry of Jesus Christ. 1. While Christ came as a baby, taking on human form, He has always existed. We find in Colossians 1:16; ” For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 2.During the time He was here on the earth before His resurrection, He proved through miracles that no man could possibly accomplish, that He is far more than a man, but God in the flesh. All of the miracles were to show His divine nature. He is God, the son, taking on a human body, so He could die and pay the sin debt. Let's examine a number of the miracles that no mortal man could possibly accomplish. Jesus did so many miracles that If everyone of them were written down, I suppose even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. I will list only a few. The very first miracle was to turn water to wine On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” Jesus replied, “Woman, why do you involve me, My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.” Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”, so they filled them to the brim. Then He told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which He revealed His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. Jesus did so many miracles, that If everyone of them were written down,
I suppose even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. Here are just a few miracles for you to look into that show that Jesus is more than just a man, He is God the Son.
Jesus cured the nobleman's son John 4:46-47. The great haul of fish. Luke 5:1-11. Jesus healed the centurion's servant . Matthew 8: 5-13 Jesus cast out an unclean spirit (Mark 1:23-28) Jesus raised the widow's son from the dead. (Luke 7:11-18). Jesus calmed the storm (Matthew 8:23-27) Jesus cured two demoniac men (Matthew 8:28-34).
Jesus raised the ruler's daughter from the dead (Matthew 9:18-26). Jesus cured a woman of an issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48). Jesus opened the eyes of two blind men (Matthew 9:27-31). Matthew 9:27-31 (From where He cured the blind men, He went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” 28 When He entered the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus *said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They *said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, It shall be done to you according to your faith.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them: “See that no one knows about this!” 31 But they went out and spread the news about Him throughout all that land. Jesus healed an invalid man at the pool called Bethesda (John 5:1-9). Jesus cured a demon-possessed man (Matthew 12:22). Jesus fed at least five thousand people (Matthew 14:15-21). “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-46). Lazarus had been dead four days and was stinking! Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, (of the tomb) his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” No mere man could ever raise a man from the dead. It is obvious that Christ waited until Lazarus was stinking so no one could say Lazarus wasn't really dead. |
Jesus spoke and rebuked the wind and calmed the surging waves. No human could ever speak and calm a raging storm, not even a TV weather man.

Matthew 22-36. After feeding the five thousand men who ate, besides the women and children, Immediately He made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He sent the crowds away. After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone. But the boat was already a long distance from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
Peter said to Him, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” When they got into the boat, the wind stopped. And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!” Luke 8: 22. Now on one of those days Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out. 23 But as they were sailing along He fell asleep; and a fierce gale of wind descended on the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger. 24 They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. 25 And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”
When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into al l that surrounding district and brought to Him all who were sick; and they implored Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were cured.
Jesus' Ministry and Healing in Galilee was not only out of compassion, but to show His Divine nature
He is God the Son!
Matthew 4:23-25 . Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.
The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them. Large crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan. Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
The uniqueness of Christianity is based on the remarkable person of Christ and His dual nature—He is both the Son of God and Son of Man. He is, and always will be God. He is absolutely God. He is God in His essence, His nature, and His eternal person. He is fully God, and He is God in every way. But when the Holy Spirit overshadowed the virgin Mary, God entered into the human family. At His birth in Bethlehem, He was named Immanuel, which means, “God with us.”
There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. The greatest miracle and expression of love was when God took on humanity, and came to die to pay the SIN debt that everyone owes. For by one man’s Sin (Adam) we all are under the penalty of Sin.

Rom 3: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. We are saved from the penalty of Sin by Grace through faith (believing and trusting Jesus Christ)Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that (faith) not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Jesus Christ died a horrible death on the cross , died and was buried. After three days He arose from the grave. Matt 28:1-7, Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. 2 And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. 3 And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. 6 He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. 7 Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.
The sacrifice that was made for us in God the Son becoming a man is beyond our comprehension. To lay aside the wonders of glory to enter this world filled with sin and discord to redeem unworthy humanity from our sins—that kind of love is hard for us to fully grasp. This Jesus who became one of us so that He could understand our weaknesses and sorrows will forever be the God-Man. We can never understand the inexpressible change that occurred through the virgin birth of Jesus, but we know this. If Christ would do that for us, He must love us very much. Because He is with us, we can boldly pray and ask for direction for every aspect of our lives.

Christ is coming back soon. God is the only one who knows when, however it may be tomorrow. Are you ready to meet Him?
1 The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen. To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God. Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; 8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
The Ascension; And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

Christ is coming back
”When Christ comes back those who have trusted Christ and truly follow Him, to serve Him will receive their glorified body and will spend eternity with Him. Those who choose to deny Christ and do not believe that He was crucified, died, and rose again, and refuse to repent of their SIN will be cast into Hades and then the lake of fire for eternity in torment.. Rev: 20; 11-15 Where will you spend eternity, Heaven or the lake of fire?
If you ask the question, How can I be saved? Jesus said Repent of your Sin, and trust in Him.

It matters what you believe!
Gal 2: 4-9 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
You are saved (salvation) by the Grace of God, by the changing power of the Holy Spirit, when you renounce (repent) your sin, believe that Christ died on the cross, was raised from death (separated from earthly body and took on His Glorified body). Why don’t you commit to serve, and believe in Jesus Christ for your salvation, right now?
Christ said “I am the way”
Jesus Christ died a horrible death on the cross, died to pay that Sin debt, was buried and after three days He arose from the grave.
You do not stop existing when you die (natural death or any other means). You are an eternal person and when your life on earth is ended, you will spend forever in one of two places, Heaven with Jesus Christ or in a place of eternal torment. Where will you spend eternity, Heaven or the lake of fire? You can go to Heaven by God’s grace by asking Christ to forgive you of your unbelief and commit to serve Him the rest of your life here on this earth. It does matter what you believe! There is only one way to heaven. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, trust Him for the debt penalty that He paid on the terrible cross.
